50 Local Indonesian Football Coaches Learn From 3 Coaches From the Real Madrid Foundation

The Real Madrid Foundation (RMF) has brought its youth football coaching methodology to Indonesia. A total of 50 local football coaches received the opportunity to learn the foundation's youth player development approach from three RMF technical coaches, who were brought in specifically for this programme.

These three specialists are Pablo Gomez Revenga, Carlos Gustavo Albert Garcia, and Maria Bores Vazquez. They delivered training covering RMF practice methods, youth player skill development, right through to character building for aspiring footballers.

Andres Muntaner Borrajo, Director of Camps and Clinics at the Real Madrid Foundation, stated the programme was designed so that all knowledge acquired by the coaches can be properly implemented for young players.

"Over the course of the programme, these coaches will learn about youth football development frameworks, coaching methodologies, and all the practical training techniques applied by the Real Madrid Foundation," Andres stated during a press conference for the YKK ASAO Kids Football Clinic, held at The Arena, British School Jakarta, South Tangerang on Friday.

Knowledge Does Not End On The Training Pitch

Andres expressed hope that this knowledge transfer will not conclude once the programme finishes. Local coaches are expected to bring back everything they have learned to their own communities and pass this expertise on to young players.

"This programme forms a critical part of efforts to build a sustainable youth football ecosystem. Transferring this knowledge to local coaches multiplies the impact of this initiative, as coaches hold a strategic role in shaping both the technical ability and personal character of young footballers," he explained.

Three RMF Coaches With International Track Records

The knowledge sharing is being delivered by three coaches with extensive long-term experience in youth football development.

Pablo Gomez Revenga is RMF Manager of Camps and Clinics, and has been part of the organisation since 2009.

Meanwhile Carlos Gustavo Albert Garcia serves as RMF Head Coach, with an established background working on youth player development across multiple international projects.

Maria Bores Vazquez works as an RMF Technical Coach. Before joining the coaching programme, she had a professional playing career, having represented both Sevilla FC and Atletico Madrid.

The presence of these three coaches gives Indonesian coaches first-hand exposure to how the Real Madrid Foundation's methodology is implemented in player development processes.

340 Children From Orphanages And Local Communities Included

This initiative is not only targeted at coaches. The YKK ASAO Kids Football Clinic also involves approximately 340 children from orphanages and various local communities.

These children attended football training sessions, and also received full football kit including jerseys, shorts, socks and football boots.

Kazuto Daimon, President of YKK Holding Asia, confirmed this marks the 30th edition of the programme, which was first launched back in 2007.

This year's event runs for three days, 28 to 30 August, at The Arena, British School Jakarta (BSJ), South Tangerang City.

"Beyond the training sessions, every football and all equipment used during this clinic will also be donated to local schools and non-profit organisations. This way, we hope the benefits of this programme will reach far more children and communities across Indonesia," he added.

Knowledge Transfer For Long Term Impact

This collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation brings a new dimension to grassroots football development in Indonesia.

Local coaches did not only receive theoretical learning material, they also gained direct hands-on guidance from professional youth development specialists.

"By transferring expertise from Real Madrid Foundation professionals to local coaches, this programme is expected to deliver long term benefits for youth football development, while also building the capacity of Indonesian community-level coaches," he concluded.
