Persija Ticket Prices Rise, Bambang Pamungkas Reveals Special Allocation for The Jakmania

Persija Jakarta Sports Director Bambang Pamungkas has issued an explanation regarding the controversy over ticket price increases for the Macan Kemayoran squad launch ahead of the 2026/2027 season. According to Bambang, claims circulating on social media that ticket prices have risen by up to 70 percent do not fully reflect the ticketing scheme that the club has prepared.

This statement was delivered by Bambang amid public backlash after The Jakmania supporter group announced they would boycott Persija's match against Brisbane Roar FC.

"There is something I need to clarify. Reports are spreading that ticket prices have increased by 70 percent. The ticket prices we officially announced on Persija's official platforms apply only to tickets sold via general online sale," Bambang stated during a press conference in Jakarta.

Bambang explained that alongside the ticket prices published on official club channels, the club has also allocated a special ticket quota exclusively for The Jakmania supporters.

"This means there are reserved ticket allocations for our loyal supporters, The Jakmania. These tickets will be distributed through The Jakmania central management board and respective regional coordinators," he added.

The Jakmania is Part of Persija

Bambang went on to emphasise the position of The Jakmania within Persija's ecosystem. He stated that supporters cannot be viewed merely as match customers, as they share deep emotional ties and a long shared history with the club.

For Bambang, The Jakmania is an integral part of Persija's journey, as well as a representation of public support for the club from across Jakarta.

This supporter group has built profound personal bonds with Persija, with a long legacy of standing with the club while upholding the name of Indonesia's capital city.

For this reason, Persija provides a dedicated access channel for The Jakmania to obtain match tickets.

The former Indonesia national team player confirmed that this special allocation will also apply for the upcoming fixture against Brisbane Roar FC at the Jakarta International Stadium.

"So for anyone assuming that the lowest price shown in our official public announcement is the only cheapest ticket available, that is incorrect. There are special allocated tickets for our supporters, The Jakmania," Bambang explained.

The Jakmania Previously Announced Boycott Plans

Prior to this statement, The Jakmania had publicly announced their intention to boycott Persija's 2026/2027 squad launch event. This position was published via the group's official Instagram account on Thursday.

The supporter group made this decision after stating that they had failed to reach an agreement with Persija management regarding ticket pricing.

According to The Jakmania, ticket prices for the Brisbane Roar fixture have increased compared to prices charged during the previous season.

Lower tier stand tickets were reported to have risen by IDR 150,000, while upper tier stand tickets increased by IDR 130,000. These prices do not yet include tax and administrative fees.

This boycott announcement attracted significant attention as the match against Brisbane Roar is not an ordinary pre-season friendly. This fixture is also the core event scheduled for Persija's official new season squad launch ceremony.

The Jakmania stated that the ticket price hike would create barriers for supporters wishing to attend this landmark event in person, and have called on club management to revise the pricing structure.
