Mandalika 2026 MotoGP ticket sales have hit 51 percent, with two Indonesian riders playing a contributing role in this sales achievement.

indonesiatravelsport.com - Two Indonesian riders Mario Suryo Aji and Veda Ega Pratama have emerged as an additional major draw ahead of the 2026 Mandalika MotoGP. Their respective entries in the Moto2 and Moto3 classes have boosted ticket sales for the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, which have now crossed the 51 percent mark.

Troy Reza Warokka, Operations Director of InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), confirmed that public enthusiasm for the race at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, continues to climb. Ticket sales are also progressing at a much faster pace compared to equivalent periods for previous editions.

"As of now tickets are already at 50 percent, actually even 51 percent. And public interest has been truly remarkable," Troy stated during the 2026 Indonesia Sports Summit in Jakarta.

Mario will compete in the Moto2 category, while Veda will represent Indonesia in Moto3. Both riders give local supporters an extra incentive to attend the race live, which will be held 9-11 October 2026.

According to Troy, the presence of Mario and Veda is one of the core factors driving this year's ticket sales momentum. The Mandalika event carries significantly greater appeal with two home nation riders on the grid.

That said, Mandalika's allure is not limited to the local riders. The confirmed appearances of top MotoGP stars have also driven demand for spectators to experience the race atmosphere first-hand in Lombok.

Against this backdrop of growing public excitement, event preparations are being fast-tracked. ITDC confirmed that overall readiness for 2026 Mandalika MotoGP has reached 80 percent, with approximately three weeks remaining before the race weekend commences.

"We are now counting down the days, roughly three weeks out. Everything is fully prepared on the whole. All that remains is final execution. Both on-track race operations and off-track side activities are ready," Troy added.

While general preparations are already at the final stage, a number of works are still being completed inside the circuit grounds.

Ongoing upgrades include facility renovations, race control system refinements, additional public toilet units, and setup of dedicated spectator camping areas.

Riders are scheduled to begin arriving in Mandalika one week prior to the race. They will be introduced directly to local communities via an official Riders Parade held in Mataram city three days before the first on-track session.

This parade will feature all competitors from the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 classes. The event is intended to build pre-race atmosphere ahead of the riders taking to the circuit.

ITDC is also running additional initiatives to push ticket sales right up until race week. One such promotion is being run during the 2026 Indonesia Sports Summit, held 11-13 September in Jakarta.

Gresita Fenny Yohana Siahaan, ITDC Stakeholder & Public Relations Manager, confirmed that customers purchasing tickets at official ITDC booths during the summit will receive substantial discounts.

Buyers are eligible for up to 20% off VIP Hospitality packages, and 30% off all Grandstand tickets. This program is part of efforts to hit sales targets and maximise spectator attendance for the Mandalika round.

With 51 percent of tickets already sold, the on-track competition may not have begun, but the anticipation and energy surrounding Mandalika MotoGP is already clearly felt.
