Two European giants recorded goal fests in the Champions League: PSG thrash Bratislava, Barcelona demolish Feyenoord.

indotravelsport.com - Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Barcelona have laid down an early warning at the start of their 2026/27 Champions League campaign. Both European giants recorded heavy goal hauls in their opening group stage fixtures.

Reigning champions PSG demolished Slovan Bratislava 6-1 at the Parc des Princes. Elsewhere, Barcelona swept aside Feyenoord 5-1 at Camp Nou Stadium.

This result puts PSG atop the provisional standings, courtesy of their five-goal winning margin.

Ferran Torres Hat-Trick Sees PSG Crush Bratislava

PSG made their ambition to defend the Champions League title clear, playing on home ground at Parc des Princes early Thursday morning WIB.

Ousmane Dembele opened PSG's scoring in the 17th minute, reacting fastest to a loose rebound from Nuno Mendes' long range strike to beat Slovan goalkeeper Dominik Takac.

Dembele netted his second goal just six minutes later. Starting from a counter attack built by Dro Fernandez, Dembele placed a header into the bottom left corner of Bratislava's goal.

PSG stretched their lead further in the 31st minute. A cross from Dembele was finished off with a close-range tap-in by Ferran Torres directly in front of goal.

The 3-0 scoreline stood at half time, but PSG were far from done.

Torres required only two minutes after the second half kicked off to score his second goal. Taking a pass from Maghnes Akliouche on the edge of the penalty area, the Spanish forward fired home despite being surrounded by four opposition defenders, putting PSG 4-0 ahead.

Torres completed his hat-trick in the 57th minute, converting Dembele's corner kick delivery. PSG now led 5-0.

Slovan Bratislava pulled one back just one minute later. Suleiman Camara cut inside from the left flank before drilling a shot into the bottom right corner of PSG's net, beating Matvey Safonov who could not make the stop.

This single goal did nothing to shift control of the fixture, as PSG continued to press forward aggressively.

Fabian Ruiz wrapped up PSG's goal spree in the 87th minute, pouncing on a loose ball inside Bratislava's penalty box. The match finished 6-1 to PSG.

Barcelona Run Riot At Camp Nou

Barcelona put on a dominant display hosting Feyenoord at Camp Nou. Just three minutes after kickoff, Lamine Yamal collected a long switched cross on the right wing before laying the ball off to Raphinha.

The Brazilian forward dummied past two Feyenoord defenders before slotting the ball past goalkeeper Tjark Ernst.

Karim Adeyemi doubled Barcelona's advantage in the 22nd minute, striking a powerful effort from outside the penalty area that flew unstoppably into the Feyenoord goal.

This 2-0 lead held until the end of the first half. 

After the restart, Feyenoord briefly threatened when Nacho Ferri broke through the Barcelona defence for a one-on-one chance, but failed to convert.

Barcelona pulled further clear in the 57th minute. Raphinha received a perfectly weighted through ball from Pedri before beating Ernst once again to register his second goal of the match.

Feyenoord thought they had pulled a goal back through Ferri after Joan Garcia lost possession, but the strike was chalked off for offside following VAR review.

Barcelona punished Feyenoord's defence again in the 78th minute. Yamal stepped up for the free kick, curling the ball over the defensive wall and straight into Ernst's net to make it 4-0.

Feyenoord finally got their consolation goal in the 82nd minute. A cross from Goncalo Borges evaded the entire Barcelona backline, and was turned home cleanly by Sem Steijn.

Barcelona were not finished scoring however. Freshly introduced substitute Gabriel Jesus met another Yamal cross with a firm header in the 85th minute.

Jesus' goal confirmed a resounding 5-1 victory for Barcelona.
